Los Angeles Marathon

Some Pics from LAM . It was 82F Hot and dry and I need better shoes . But it was amazing to take part and complete the challenge .

Its by far the biggest event I have taken a part in with 26000 + participants . . Since it was my first Big Dance I was cautious of my pace early on and was able to hang on until the very end. The last six miles were seriously tough. I finished in 4:50. Thanks Rawlins for all the encouragement and training advice.

Santa Clarita Half Marathon

I am very pleased with what turned out to be
for me a very successful race on Nov 5th . The weather was beautiful and perfect cool for a long run , low 50's at the 7am start .
I had wondered about participating in an event like this
since i moved in Valencia in 2001. Every fall I would see the runners run past our house and admired their speed and fitness.
Now I have become one of them.
Despite the hard effort required to complete the distance , I enjoy the feeling of accomplishment.

I ran a negative split and came in 2:01:26 :
a 26 minutes improvement
from my first try at this distance.

Looking forward to next race.
