3 races in one week

This week was busy with three local races completed.
First on Canada Day July 1st was Paseo Club Mini Triathlon which consisted of a 400 m pool swim , followed by 10 miles bike ride and then one more go around but running this time. Weather was Sunny and Hot so the run was the hardest. Total time was 62.37 . A Good practice Run.
Small local event but fun.

The Fourth of July 5K course runs down the streets of Newhall on the parade route. The race had a large turnout with 550 participants and better yet a crowd in the thousands . I finished 189th overall and I recorded a significant personal best for the distance finishing in 25:33 .

I tried my luck for a triple and entered the COC cross country race series which runs three miles on a variety of pavement , grass , dirt hills and finishes on the Stadium track , Olympic style.
The course includes aptly named Killer Hill , a pretty steep incline about halfway in.
Started slow , finished strong and overall did Ok and am looking forward to running it better again next week.
